Walter (BJ) Davis

Walter Davis (BJ) had a very impressive weekend at the Connecticut Basketball Group tournament this past weekend. He scored 18 points against the Connecticut Premier. Connecting on 5 of 7 from behind the arc early in the game. BJ chipped in 15 points against the Connecticut Hoopstars-Papale and had 14 points against the CT Force. In the championship game against Hoopstars-Doyle BJ had 10 points in a very hot Cheshire Academy gym. Throughout the weekend BJ was consistent on both ends of the floor. He led the  fastbreak finding guys for spot up three point shoots and alley up dunks. In recent weeks he has raised his game to another level. Coach Johnson has been moe than happy with his play and hopes this will continue as the team gets prepared for the nationals in Orlando, FL.

As we recognized Walter (BJ) Davis performance this week Drive4stardum would like to share that BJ will bring his game to Hamden Hall next year. Leaving Xavier (Middletown) where he played the last three seasons. He will be missed by his teachers, teammates and friends as he plans to reclassify as a junior next year. This will allow for better academic and athletic opportunites for BJ as colleges and universities have already have taken a closer look at the 5'9 guard. There have been several colleges that have contact Coach Johnson expressing interest in Walter's abilities.
